Classic German World War Luger

Classic German World War Luger

This is a replica of the German P 08 model used during World War I and World War II. This pistol was given many names as well as redesigned many times in many different ways while still focusign on its grand popularity throughout the world. It was originally designed by a German later a naturalized American Hugo Borchardt in 1893. He designed a large toggle action semi automatic pistol which he called the Borchardt C93. Years later, in 1900, an Austrian, George Luger refined the design of this pistol, making it the semiautomatic, recoil repeated Pistole P 08 and becoming the widely known “Luger” or a “Parabellum.” He created such “Parabellum” in 1902 adopted by the German Army in 1904 in 9mm Luger. Many important events, like World War I and World War II used this fabulous pistol because of its usefullness and high maintenance. It was accepted to the military in 1908 and was a standard sidearm for the German troops throughout both wars. During each war, Luger P08 was manufactured in non standard 7.65mm caliber due limitations placed in Treaty of Versailles. This item is non firing and the most widely recognized pistol in the world, ranging its roots from the World War I. Its simple structure forces one to wonder what is so mysterious about such a widely known pistol. Use this pistol as a marvelous addition to the collection or for decorative purposes. Let our Luger's vast popularity live forever and order yours one today.Length 8.5 inches
